Spec miata race, P17 gets passed on straight before S/F, then spins out the passing car, damaging the car pretty well.

Stewards approached driver that was spun and recommended a protest be filed but she declined as she didn’t want to start crap over a protest. SCCA stewards shouldn’t have had to approach the driver for that bullshit. Especially spinning them on a fast straight with concrete barrier right there.

Posts further down identified it as this guy, who said he had no idea how she spun in front of him...

I’m not saying that she didn’t get dumped, but I’d reserve judgement until I see GoPro from the other car (if it exists). He could have forced the issue driver’s left earlier to kill momentum or forced her in the grass if he wanted to be a dick about it.

It looks like he left racing room throughout the pass. I'm not sure why he would suddenly change his mind over a pass for P16.

He was squeezing her on the pass, and this was with the checkered flag waving. No reason for the passing car to try and close the door afterwards and contact was unnecessary.

He said they have a 360 cam as well so I guess we’ll see video of that soon.

He gave enough racing room. More than enough actually. If he intentionally made contact, he should be penalized. If not, it’s a racing incident.

Yes, he gave her enough room, and she didn’t go two wheels off to pass either.

There is a pronounced mark right before her rear wheel arch where he pitted her.
